ABOUT LIQUEURS
Liqueur (from the Latin ‘liquifacere’ – ‘to dissolve’) – a high quality alcoholic drink that ranges from 15 to 70%. Liqueurs tend to be sweet and are prepared on a base of fruit, berry, root, spice or nut tinctures, as well as occasionally containing cream and eggs in the recipe. All this not only gives liqueurs a wonderful taste, but some health benefits as well.
ABOUT COCKTAILS
If you are a lover or lover of complex taste sensations, whole symphonies playing out after a sip of a drink, from barely noticeable notes to imperiously and confidently sounding main taste melodies, then cocktails are for you! Cocktails usually use strong drinks, such as gin, cognac, vodka, whiskey, tequila or rum, which are mixed with other ingredients.
APERITIFS & DIGESTIFS
An aperitif is usually an alcoholic drink that is served before a snack or just before a meal. The word comes from the Latin “aperio” – “open.” Aperitifs stimulate the secretion of the stomach and increase appetite. They differ greatly in taste and can be either dry wines or bitter or sweet tinctures.
